Trusted by Patients Across Mold and Flintshire Since 2018

Formerly known as Clwydian Sports Therapy, we have been based in Mold since 2019. In that time we have built a reputation for thorough, honest, and genuinely effective clinical care across Flintshire and North Wales.

At Peacock Pain & Injury Clinic, our team combines physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation and hands-on therapy to provide personalised treatment focused on long-term recovery, movement and performance.

Rebecca (“Bec”) is a qualified Physiotherapist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Matt is registered with the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and is in the process of transitioning to the Society of Sports Therapists (SST). Isy is currently a student member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and will shortly receive HCPC registration. Becky is a qualified Sports Rehabilitator and registered member of BASRaT (British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers), supporting patients through tailored rehabilitation and return-to-performance programmes.

How We Can Help You

We offer a range of specialist services to help you recover from injury, manage pain, and stay active long term.

Our physiotherapists are HCPC registered and a full member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Physiotherapy at Peacock is appropriate for a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including persistent joint pain, post-operative rehabilitation, nerve-related symptoms, and movement problems that have not responded to rest or self-management.

From acute sprains and muscle tears to overuse injuries and chronic tendon problems, our sports injury clinic provides a thorough assessment and a structured return-to-sport programme. We work with runners, gym-goers, team sport players, and anyone who wants to get back to physical activity safely and without setbacks.

We also offer Pre-Season Screening and Benchmark Testing using advanced VALD technology to help identify movement deficits, strength imbalances and injury risk factors before they become a problem. This allows athletes and active individuals to train with greater confidence and clearer performance insights.

Our sports massage therapists use a range of hands-on techniques including deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, and trigger point therapy.

Treatment is tailored to your needs, whether you are recovering from injury, managing the physical demands of training, or dealing with persistent muscular tension from desk-based work or daily stress.

Led by qualified practitioners, our clinical pilates and strength classes are designed to complement your treatment and build the long-term physical resilience that prevents injury from coming back. Alongside our small group Clinical Pilates and Strength & Mobility classes, we also offer 1-to-1 and private rehabilitation sessions for those requiring more individualised support, focused recovery or tailored progression.

Conditions We Treat

Our clinical team in Mold regularly assesses and treats the following conditions. If yours is not listed, contact us directly. If we are not the right service for you, we will tell you honestly and point you in the right direction.
If pain is stopping you from exercising, affecting your sleep, or limiting your everyday movement, that is reason enough to get it assessed. Many of our patients tell us they wish they had come sooner.

What to expect from your appointment

A lot of people come to us having already tried rest, painkillers, or treatment elsewhere that only provided short-term relief. The difference at Peacock is in how thoroughly we approach the assessment from the very beginning.

Your First Appointment

Your first session begins with a detailed clinical interview. We want to understand not just where the pain is, but what brings it on, what eases it, how long it has been present, and how it is affecting your life. This is followed by a hands-on physical assessment to identify the root cause of your symptoms.

Your Recovery Plan

By the end of your first appointment you will have a clear diagnosis, an honest explanation of what is going on, and a structured treatment plan. We do not keep you guessing. You will know what we are treating, why we are treating it that way, and what your recovery timeline looks like.

Treatment

Depending on your condition, treatment may include joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques such as massage and trigger point therapy, dry needling, and a progressive rehabilitation exercise programme delivered through our patient app. Every element of your treatment is chosen because the evidence supports it for your specific presentation, not because it is standard protocol.

Ongoing Support

Recovery does not only happen in the clinic. Between sessions you will have access to your personalised exercise programme through our app, with video guidance for every movement. We check in on your progress and adjust the plan as you improve, so you are never left wondering what to do next.

Why Patients Choose Peacock

We are not the only clinic in Flintshire. So when patients tell us why they came to us and why they keep coming back, we pay attention.

The most common things we hear are that other treatment felt rushed, that nobody explained what was actually wrong, or that they were given exercises without any real understanding of why. Patients come to Peacock because they want a proper explanation and a plan they can trust.
