Â

From acute sprains and muscle tears to overuse injuries and chronic tendon problems, our sports injury clinic provides a thorough assessment and a structured return-to-sport programme. We work with runners, gym-goers, team sport players, and anyone who wants to get back to physical activity safely and without setbacks.
We also offer Pre-Season Screening and Benchmark Testing using advanced VALD technology to help identify movement deficits, strength imbalances and injury risk factors before they become a problem. This allows athletes and active individuals to train with greater confidence and clearer performance insights.
Our sports massage therapists use a range of hands-on techniques including deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, and trigger point therapy.
Treatment is tailored to your needs, whether you are recovering from injury, managing the physical demands of training, or dealing with persistent muscular tension from desk-based work or daily stress.
Your first session begins with a detailed clinical interview. We want to understand not just where the pain is, but what brings it on, what eases it, how long it has been present, and how it is affecting your life. This is followed by a hands-on physical assessment to identify the root cause of your symptoms.
By the end of your first appointment you will have a clear diagnosis, an honest explanation of what is going on, and a structured treatment plan. We do not keep you guessing. You will know what we are treating, why we are treating it that way, and what your recovery timeline looks like.
Depending on your condition, treatment may include joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques such as massage and trigger point therapy, dry needling, and a progressive rehabilitation exercise programme delivered through our patient app. Every element of your treatment is chosen because the evidence supports it for your specific presentation, not because it is standard protocol.
Recovery does not only happen in the clinic. Between sessions you will have access to your personalised exercise programme through our app, with video guidance for every movement. We check in on your progress and adjust the plan as you improve, so you are never left wondering what to do next.
We are not the only clinic in Flintshire. So when patients tell us why they came to us and why they keep coming back, we pay attention.
The most common things we hear are that other treatment felt rushed, that nobody explained what was actually wrong, or that they were given exercises without any real understanding of why. Patients come to Peacock because they want a proper explanation and a plan they can trust.
Peacock Pain & Injury Clinic was founded in Mold in 2019 and has grown from a single-practitioner sports therapy clinic into a multi-disciplinary team offering physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, massage, and clinical pilates.

I am very impressed by my early experiences at this clinic. Isy was very professional in assessing my longstanding lower back problem and both her sport massage treatment and suggested programme of exercises between appointments have proved to be very effective. It's not an instant 'cure' but I'm confident that Isy has put me on the right road to recovery.![]()

Arranged to visit due to a recurrent calf injury. I've been very happy with the service received. It has been much more professional and thorough than when I have visited other clinics in the past. The experience has been everything I hoped it would be and I feel well on the way to recovery after only a couple of sessions!![]()

The most recent member of this busy practise is ISSY who brings her own dynamic personality to her role. I recall being âa bodyâ for her practical interview. I didnât know what to expect. Honestly without any exaggeration my first comment to Bex, âmagic handsâ . Iâve remained one of her patients. ISSY works out the issue and treats it. Itâs incredible, and without being condescending , she has developed these skills at such a young age to pinpoint problematic areas, AND then links that with potentially associated issues. Iâve already given a well deserved review of another of Bexâs practitioners BUT in my opinion from being her patient when she first started, ISSY has gone from strength. She is obviously eager to learn new skills, taking courses that enhance her already solid skills base. Sheâs easy to talk to but she listens too. Iâve no hesitation recommending ISSY to anyone at all.Google rating score: 4.9 of 5, based on 110 reviews
