Â

From acute sprains and muscle tears to overuse injuries and chronic tendon problems, our sports injury clinic provides a thorough assessment and a structured return-to-sport programme. We work with runners, gym-goers, team sport players, and anyone who wants to get back to physical activity safely and without setbacks.
We also offer Pre-Season Screening and Benchmark Testing using advanced VALD technology to help identify movement deficits, strength imbalances and injury risk factors before they become a problem. This allows athletes and active individuals to train with greater confidence and clearer performance insights.
Our sports massage therapists use a range of hands-on techniques including deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, and trigger point therapy.
Treatment is tailored to your needs, whether you are recovering from injury, managing the physical demands of training, or dealing with persistent muscular tension from desk-based work or daily stress.
Your first session begins with a detailed clinical interview. We want to understand not just where the pain is, but what brings it on, what eases it, how long it has been present, and how it is affecting your life. This is followed by a hands-on physical assessment to identify the root cause of your symptoms.
By the end of your first appointment you will have a clear diagnosis, an honest explanation of what is going on, and a structured treatment plan. We do not keep you guessing. You will know what we are treating, why we are treating it that way, and what your recovery timeline looks like.
Depending on your condition, treatment may include joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques such as massage and trigger point therapy, dry needling, and a progressive rehabilitation exercise programme delivered through our patient app. Every element of your treatment is chosen because the evidence supports it for your specific presentation, not because it is standard protocol.
Recovery does not only happen in the clinic. Between sessions you will have access to your personalised exercise programme through our app, with video guidance for every movement. We check in on your progress and adjust the plan as you improve, so you are never left wondering what to do next.
We are not the only clinic in Flintshire. So when patients tell us why they came to us and why they keep coming back, we pay attention.
The most common things we hear are that other treatment felt rushed, that nobody explained what was actually wrong, or that they were given exercises without any real understanding of why. Patients come to Peacock because they want a proper explanation and a plan they can trust.
Peacock Pain & Injury Clinic was founded in Mold in 2019 and has grown from a single-practitioner sports therapy clinic into a multi-disciplinary team offering physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation, massage, and clinical pilates.

Julian PellattTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Matt was patient and accommodating. Did a thorough examination initially and took my medical history. My problem has all but disappeared thanks to his interventions. MoiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Iâve had treatment over several years. Initially Bex Smith worked her magic on me. As her business grew she needed more therapists all of whom are just spot on with their knowledge and treatment. I donât know how Bex attracts these talented people. Yesterday I saw Nikki for the first time. I was mortified as I was unusually late. What an âopenâ and engaging lady. Friendly and welcoming. During the massage therapy she explained everything. Itâs blatantly apparent that she is passionate about her work AND is another talented asset to Peacock Pain & Injury. See you next week. Matt was very helpful working with my sore hip. He assigned stretches to do in between appointments that really helped. Only a few sessions and I should be back to normal! AvrilTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am in my 70âs and had been suffering from a knee injury last March (nearly 12 months ago) the pain was preventing me from looking after my disabled husband and young dog. I had been on the NHS list for physio for months and decided to do something about it by going private. Four sessions in with Matt and I can walk fairly pain free. I was given unique attention at every session. He encouraged and guided me in and out of the sessions and his encouragement was incessant. I cannot praise or thank him enough. He has brought me back into doing the things I love with the people I love, what could be better than that. If you are thinking about going private think no longer. It is the best thing I have done and just wish I had done it earlier and saved going through all that pain. Matt is a wonderful patient physiotherapist who I can highly recommend. Thank you for helping me. Sheila BlackburnTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Friendly staff and know their stuff!
