Understanding Shoulder Pain

Shoulder pain is a common ailment that can significantly impact your ability to perform daily activities, from lifting objects to reaching overhead. The shoulder is a complex joint, and pain can result from a variety of issues, including injuries, overuse, and underlying conditions.

Types of shoulder pain

Symptoms

  • Sharp or Dull Pain: Varies from intense, stabbing pain to a continuous, dull ache in the shoulder.
  • Limited Range of Motion: Difficulty moving the shoulder or lifting the arm.
  • Weakness in the Shoulder: Reduced strength, making it hard to perform daily tasks.
  • Swelling and Tenderness: Inflammation and sensitivity around the shoulder joint.
  • Pain Radiating Down the Arm: Discomfort extending from the shoulder to the arm or hand.

Treatment
